FINE YOUNG COOKS has been open since 2011, we started out with kids cooking classes at various schools in the Ballito area.

In June 2012 I opened a cooking studio at my home and we started teaching domestic workers cooking skills as well as branching out into other cooking lessons while still teaching our cooking lessons at the local schools.

In 2014 I completed a 16 week training programme as a finalist in the Entrepreneur programme through the Ilembe Chamber of Commerce.

In November 2014 I was awarded the Monthly winner award in the Hirsch’s Business woman of the year competition.

In February 2015 I opened my cooking studio at a larger facility where we offer not only cooking and baking classes for Domestic Workers but also Team Buildings for corporate companies as well as Themed cooking evenings.

I have worked closely with Hirsch’s over the years holding cooking classes and competitions at the Ballito Branch.

I have worked with Cupcakes for kids with Cancer in Ballito for the past 4 years and am very passionate about this charity and creating awareness about early signs of cancer in Children

Since 2013 I have run the Food and Wine Festival which runs in conjunction with the Ballito Pro surfing competition. This is a food extravaganza with wine tastings, artisan food markets, pop up restaurants, fashion shows and cooking competitions for chefs of all ages.  

I am passionate about teaching and food as well as uplifting our community and look forward to a long successful journey!
